Gunner Williams ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The football arced through the air in slow motion, watched by many pairs of eager eyes. Feet blindly pounded across the compacted grass towards its destination, faces turned upwards, hands outstretched. One figure streaked past all the rest, his slender form darting easily past the larger men. His heartbeat matched the pace set by his trainers as they flew across the lawn whilst his breath tore harsh and shallow from his dry throat. His expression formed into hope and expectation as the ball fell to earth, towards his upheld hands...
Suddenly the hard earth rose up to meet him as something collided with his side with the force of a rhinoceros. He flew across the lawn, landing heavily with the attacker on top of him, knocking all the air from his lungs. As he gasped for his breath he was blinded by his dark fringe which flopped in his eyes, but when he felt his arm being twisted behind him he struggled furiously out of instinct, desperate not to be rendered helpless. Striking out wildly with his fist he felt it make contact with soft flesh for the briefest of moments before it was seized in an iron grip.
“Woah! Easy!” A familiar, humoured voice broke through the man’s panic bringing with it a wave of horror which immediately stilled his thrashing limbs. He opened his eyes, tossing his fringe aside to gaze up into the face of Gunner Williams. He’d just hit the social chair of the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity. The pledge despaired. On the outside of his vision he saw his fellow pledges and potential brothers crowding in to smirk and laugh down at where he was pinned beneath Gunner’s compact, muscular body. They must all know the same as him; he was one less competitor for a place in Alpha Delta Phi.
Gunner grinned at the pledge he had pinned to the ground. It was his idea of fun, gathering a bunch of pledges together for games with some of the frat brothers. Of course the games always had an added twist, for example this game of football had ended with whoever catches the ball gets an invitation to the frat’s party, is rudely interrupted by the tackling of one of them to the ground. Perhaps it seemed a little cruel, but it was how Gunner got to know his potential brothers, since he had rather a lot of sway concerning who got in. It seemed to work though, after these masculine bonding sessions Gunner was on good terms with those who got in.
“Sorry about that.” The pledge finally found his voice; it seemed he had opted for bravado rather than meek apologies. Gunner was satisfied, coupled with his athletic prowess and fighting attitude this pledge had passed and earned Gunner’s backing to get into the fraternity.
“Good punch you got there, but you might wanna watch your flanks next time.” Gunner effortlessly hopped to his feet, his rough accent clashing with the boys clipped tones. Gunner was an exception within the frat as he was not from money; he had got in almost solely on his athletic ability.
“Cutting that fringe would be a start.”Gunner grinned at his favourite who returned the expression not without some relief, as if his life had been spared. Turning to the rest of the pledges Gunner pointed out a lucky few,
“You, you, you and you.” He pointed last at the bruised pledge he’d just tackled, signalling for them to follow him and his brothers. A little way off he turned to them and invited them to the next frat party he’d organised for the pledges to mix with their potential brothers. Of course the president had last word on who got in, but Gun was on good terms with the board members, the arrogant, fun loving ruffian was an Alpha Delta Phi to the very end.
As he glanced at his watch Gunner remembered that he was meant to be meeting his girlfriend in 10 minutes. How easy it had been to forget. Gunner wasn’t the most reliable of boyfriends, nor was he the most romantic, nor the most loyal. To be perfectly honest Gunner wasn’t a great boyfriend, he’d proven it time and time again; he was known by everyone to be a notorious player, forever the bad boy. Strangely however this didn’t seem to put girls off. Sure he had cheated on people before, but he would never do that to them would he? Of course not... Why they believed this was a mystery to Gunner, but he was glad it was so.
Jacelynn was no different. As he headed back to his room for a shower Gunner thought about his latest girlfriend. She was a lovely girl, the nice sort, not who you’d expect him to be with. Except of course for the fact that she was majorly hot. Hot was always Gunner’s type. Surprisingly she was often good fun too; she liked to party just as much as the next girl. However she was obviously smitten with him, whereas to him she was just another girl. He was only going out with her because that was the only way she’d let him into her pants.
However just because he was going out with her didn’t mean he was going to be faithful or anything. She was just kidding herself if she thought he saw no one but her. The girls round here were tasty! And no one was off limits, unless of course they were going out with one of his frat brothers. There were loyalties there that surpassed any attraction to a woman. Fortunately however Jace hadn’t found out yet about any of his misdemeanours, as ever he was getting away with it on pure nerve.
By the time he was showered and presentable he was already 5 minutes late. In white shirt and dark jeans he jogged across the grounds, not exerting himself enough to break a sweat. By the time he arrived, 10 minutes over his deadline, he was still smelling pleasant and looking fresh, casual as anything in dark shades. He fell back into a cool stroll as soon as he came within sight of the Kappa house, swaggering inside without a care in the world or a taint on his conscience for keeping his girlfriend waiting.
It took a moment for Gunner to recognise his stunning girl with her newly dyed hair. Usually he wouldn’t have noticed changes in her appearance but this was a big change. Her gorgeous curls were a delicious chocolate brown, perfectly complementing her eyes. It suited her perfectly, Gunner was momentarily stunned. Her outfit, as ever, was impeccable and stylish, the fitted top reminding him of her lustful figure and the skirt teasing him with glimpses of smooth legs before they were swallowed in sexy boots.
“Wow!” Gunner exclaimed before she had a chance to say anything, he stepped forward to wrap his arm round her waist, pulling her strongly towards him, to press against his hard form. His hand moved up by her face to touch at the playful curls.
“You look... wow!” He lowered his voice to speak softly in her ear.
“I hope you didn’t have anything planned cus I’m not letting you out of your room for the rest of the week.” His warm fingers stroked her cheek gently as his lips softly found her soft neck.
